Thank you for attending the 2012 Chi Upsilon Sigma (CUS) National Convention in Washington, DC. We are grateful to all our attendees, sponsors, speakers and exhibitors for energizing the atmosphere with enthusiasm and professionalism. This year’s theme, “We the People: Believe It And Achieve It!,” reflects Chi Upsilon Sigma’s efforts to educate the community on the issues and how to take responsibility to find solutions. The 2012 CUS Convention provided an unequaled opportunity to see old friends, develop new ones, learn about Chi Upsilon Sigma’s recent advances, and participate in discussions about some of the most important issues facing non-profit and service-based organizations.
The purpose of this convention is to help realize the leadership potential of people of all ages, economic backgrounds and lifestyles. In addition, educational sessions provided opportunities for all to be engaged in thought provoking discussions. The dynamic group of speakers set countless unique platforms for attendees to listen, to learn and to interact.
Washington D.C. served as the host city for Chi Upsilon Sigma’s National Latin Sorority, Inc. 2012 Convention and Leadership Conference.
On June 14-17, 2012, Chi Upsilon Sigma will hold its 2012 Convention and Leadership Conference in the nation’s capital, Washington D.C., at the Washington Court Hotel. This year’s theme is “We the People: Believe It And Achieve It!” Our theme reflects Chi Upsilon Sigma’s efforts to nationally educate the men, women and children in our communities on the issues and challenges that our society faces every day.
The sisters of Chi Upsilon Sigma believe in developing our leaders and the leadership of others. Through building the capacity of women and minority leadership, we all achieve our goals to develop young professionals into great leaders, which will enrich our community at large. Every two years, Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority, Inc. hosts a National Convention and Leadership conference that brings in attendees (both members and non-members) from all over the country with the intent to foster the development of leadership skills through training, mentoring and networking. The goal of our Convention & Leadership Conference is to encourage our sisters and the community to explore personal and professional goals while developing leadership skills essential for future success. This development is further expanded with a specific professional’s track which will focus on providing relevant leadership, balance, and skills training for adults in their roles as professional, as well as parents.
The convention will also be filled with opportunities to network with others and engage in thought provoking discussions during workshop sessions.
